The X440-G2 series can be managed with the ExtremeCloud IQ and ExtremeCloud IQ - Site Engine for centralized cloud-based network management, providing you with an integrated user view of your devices and applications for wired and wireless networks. For efficient inventory and network topology management.
ExtremeCloud IQ supports a zero-touch configuration, allowing you to quickly introduce the new X440-G2 toggle online and support the selection of operating system roles. Alternatively, on-board management of the X440-G2 can be done manually via a Web-based GUI, or a generic command line interface (CLI).

Flexible 10Gb upgrade
All X440-G2 base models are equipped with four upgradeable 1Gb ports located on either port or the rear panel of each model. An additional software license is required to upgrade to 10Gb Ethernet, allowing administrators to increase the uplink of the switch for faster speeds without replacing the entire switch.

High performance stack
The X440-G2 model supports high-speed stacking when running the ExtremeXOS SummitStack-V, via its two built-in 10Gb ports. Up to eight switches can be stacked, each unit offering a transfer rate of 40Gb and allowing the use of standard 10Gb Ethernet cabling and optical technology to accommodate up to 40 connectivity kilometers
