The Emerson MVME3100 Series VMEbus single-board computers help Oems of industrial, medical and defense/aerospace VMEbus platforms improve performance and functionality to gain a competitive advantage while still protecting their essential investments in VMEbus and related technologies. The MVME3100 is one of the first VMEbus products to feature the system-on-chip MPC8540 processor, providing a growth path for VMEbus customers who have applied on previous generation VME, particularly MPC8240 and similar (MPC603 series) processors. System-on-chip implementations provide power/heat dissipation, reliability, and lifecycle benefits not found in other architectures. The combination of a faster processor and the 2eSST VMEbus interface (the same as the MVME6100) significantly improves performance.
