The 3500/53 is a key component in the Triconex safety system, known as the two-out-of-three voter.

It is a core part of the Triconex security control system and is used to implement voting logic in triple redundant configurations.

In the Triconex system, a two-out-of-three voter is used to monitor the output of three separate processor modules 

(commonly referred to as the triplex module) and determine the final control output based on a preset voting logic. 

This configuration is designed to provide a high degree of reliability and security because even if one or both processor 

modules fail, the system is still able to make the right decision based on the remaining normal modules.

The 3500/53 is usually used in conjunction with other Triconex modules to form a complete triple safety control system.
