Introduction: Excitation system plays a very critical role in the steady state or transient state of synchronous generator, which directly determines the performance characteristics of the generator. An excellent excitation system can not only ensure the quality of the power supply, but also promote the safety and stability of the unit, which ultimately leads to the improvement of the technical and economic benefits of the entire power system. However, if the importance of the excitation control system is ignored in the power system stability calculation, the results can not reach the expected results.
